This quote holds true for both wine and food. Winemakers and chefs meet to create an extraordinary culinary experience that truly comes from their hearts to benefit the Classic Wine Auction (CWA) in raising funds and awareness for pre-selected non-profits that benefit Oregon-based children and families.

A Force to be Reckoned With
Storm Large defines the force to be reckoned with. Beautiful and talented typically describe her but when you see her perform, she embodies soft yet sensual femininity one minute then can explode into chaotic psychotic scary creepy the next. The perfect name for this amazingly gifted individual – Storm.
Storm is also very philanthropic. My first...
Singin’ In The Rain
This year’s Heart of Doernbecher auction was held at the Portland Art Museum. The emcees were the effervescent Stephanie Stricklen and Russ Lewis, handsome in real life as on the TV screen, from KGW News. The highlight of the evening was a dance performance by the Westside Dance Academy to “Singin’ in the Rain” performed...

Not many people can cause an “Ah Ha!” moment. Jan Black consistently does this with her clients and the people she touches. Jan has the ability to get at the “core” of what an individual is “all about” and guide the individual to utilize this “awareness” to their advantage. Jan is the founder of...

Speaking to the group, he said he felt a little overwhelmed facing 60-something women with all eyes on him! Didier has a...

Obon Festival
Obon is a Japanese Buddhist custom celebrating a time in which ancestors and their sacrifices are remembered and appreciated. The Oregon Buddhist Temple held an Obon festival this past Saturday. Paper lanterns inscribed with a loved one’s name were strung above the dancers and watched over the celebration. This brings back some very fond childhood memories for me.
WEO at the Edgefield
This is one of Women Entrepreneurs of Oregon (WEO) networking events. Participants formed teams and went on a scavenger hunt through the complex testing their McMenamin’s Edgefield knowledge or just their sense of direction. These are fun events and a great way to meet new women in business to get connected, inspired and re-energized!
Promotional Idea
Looking for an interesting way to promote your business? This is a slide show of a hard cover 10×8 book for Portland Center Stage. I designed the layout of the book and yes these are my photographs of events I’ve taken for them over the past 2-3 years. They are using it to show...
