My wonderfully artistic and out of the box floral designer friend, Françoise Weeks has extended her talents to the world of shoes!  When I first saw them, they had a turn of the 20th century feel to them.  With this in mind, I designed this year’s notecard set to reflect this vintage style.

To make the images pop and subtly tie to the hot pink dress that Emi wore the day of the portrait session, the images were  framed with a dusty rose/warm brown double mat.  The finish is a chocolate brown with a reddish tinge wood moulding to match the furnishings in their great room.  The frame moulding has a double ledge at the edge to give it a modern contemporary look, which matches the style of their decor.  Included with the framed artwork purchases is the service to hang the artwork.  I delivered and hung the artwork this past Saturday, just in time for their family’s Thanksgiving celebrations.

Keris arrived in September and we scheduled her portrait shoot in November.  Katie should be an interior designer for as you see below, Keris’s room is beautifully decorated in pinks, spring greens, beiges and white.  Katie wanted a framed keepsake, something that Keris would always have, to hang above the changing table.  I suggested this collage of Keris surrounded by a clean simple white frame with lines to match the chest of drawers, which would always remain in Keris’s room beyond her diaper changing days!

Janie Handbag, Side 2 of 2

Shannon, like me, is a big fan of these “Coach” quality designer photo handbags.  This Janie Photo Handbag is her most recent purchase and features a photograph of Andrew from one of my recent photography sessions.  The other side features Andrew with little brother Owen.  

Sadly, Owen had Trisomy 18 and lived so briefly after his birth on October 13, 2008.  This image is provided by my good friend Denyce Weiler of Something Blue Photography, who is a volunteer photographer of Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS).  These photographers provide a photography session to families at no charge to help them honor and grieve the death of their baby.  Hopefully this beautiful keepsake handbag will spark loving conversations and memories of Owen and keep him forever in our hearts.
