		<description><![CDATA[Obon is a Japanese Buddhist custom celebrating a time in which ancestors and their sacrifices are remembered and appreciated.  The Oregon Buddhist Temple held an Obon festival this past Saturday.  Paper lanterns inscribed with a loved one&#8217;s name were strung above the dancers and watched over the celebration.  This brings back some very fond childhood memories for me.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Obon is a Japanese Buddhist custom celebrating a time in which ancestors and their sacrifices are remembered and appreciated.  The <a href="http://www.oregonbuddhisttemple.com/index.html" target="_blank">Oregon Buddhist Temple</a> held an Obon festival this past Saturday.  Paper lanterns inscribed with a loved one&#8217;s name were strung above the dancers and watched over the celebration.  This brings back some very fond childhood memories for me.</p>
